Founded in 2015 by Ben and Lauren Reese, Lionheart Coffee Company was born from a passion for specialty coffee and a vision to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where the community could come together. With over a decade of combined experience in coffee and hospitality, Ben and Lauren set out to make their dream a reality—using coffee as a catalyst for connection and inspiration.
At the heart of Lionheart Coffee Company is our mission: “Using coffee as the catalyst, we strive to bring people together, inspire them to create and share memorable experiences, and encourage them to invest in the lives of others, both locally and globally.”
From the beginning, our focus has always been on community. We prioritize working with other local businesses and offering a carefully curated product selection that reflects this commitment. Our multi-roaster program highlights small, independent roasters—some run by just one person—giving them a platform and helping us provide unique, high-quality offerings that set us apart.
In November of 2019, we expanded to our second location in Downtown Beaverton, affectionately known as the ‘Watson’ location. This new space allowed us to extend our offerings to include local beer and wine, creating a welcoming environment for those seeking a cozy spot to unwind beyond the bustling restaurant scene in Beaverton.
Giving back to the community has always been a core value at Lionheart. We are proud to have supported organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Oregon Food Bank, Raphael House of Portland, and Homeplate Youth Services, among others. Our team plays a vital role in this mission. They not only uphold the highest standards in crafting specialty coffee but also excel at building relationships with our customers and partners, further strengthening the community ties we cherish.
